Weekend Picks: BatFest on Saturday, Plus Haunted Quarry!

Put on your ghoul face and have a spook-tacular weekend in Batavia!

  • Haunted Quarry — Face your fears and experience all the nightmares that await you at the Haunted Quarry, 400 S. Water St., open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26, and is not suitable for kids under age 10. 


Saturday, Oct. 26


  • BatFest - A frightfully good time! BatFest, Batavia's annual Halloween-themed event, takes place this year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in downtown Batavia. Batavia BatFest is free for the whole family, attracts more than 3,000 ghouls to downtown Batavia and  includes downtown Trick-or-Treating, Library Stories and Songs, Mothers’ Club Parade, Troop 6 pumpkin roll, BatArt, tractor-pulled hayrides and the BATV costume contest!
  • Haunted Quarry, 400 S. Water St., will be open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26, and is not suitable for kids under age 10.

  • The Haunting — Revisit childhood memories of turning off the lights, huddling under a blanket, and watching monster movies on TV! Storyteller William Pack presents an afternoon with Edgar Allen Poe, H. P. Lovecraft, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, H. H. Holmes, and Jack the Ripper during the Library's October "Sundays on Stage" program.
