Batavia Blotter: Thefts Reported at Wal-Mart, Menards, Kohl's and Other Locations

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a roundup of theft reports collected from the Batavia Police Department blotter for incidents between July 23 and Aug. 5, 2013.

I-Pad Stolen On Clark Island


Someone took an iPad valued at $600 from Clark Island Park, 400 S. River St., according to a report filed at 5:57 a.m. Aug. 2, reports said.

 

Theft Reported at Tour Edge Golf

A theft over $500 took place at Tour Edge Golf, 1301 Pierson Drive, according to a report filed at noon Aug. 1. The report does not list the items stolen or their value.

Juvenile Processed and Released

A juvenile was processed and released to his parents after a retail theft reported at 2:42 p.m. Aug. 1 at Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road. The report does not say what items might have been taken.

Thefts Reported With Limited Information

  • A theft under $500 was reported around 3:31 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 1000 block of Bluestem Lane. The report does not say what items were stolen or their value.
  • A theft under $500 was reported around 6:41 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 400 block of Church Street, reports said. The report does not say what items were stolen or their value.
  • A theft under $500 was reported around 7:57 p.m. July 31 in the 500 block of Madison Street, reports said. The report does not say what items were stolen or their value.
  • A theft under $500 was reported around 5:59 p.m. July 30 at 1219 E. Wilson St., reports said. The report does not say what items were stolen or their value.

 

Theft Reported at Wal-Mart

Batavia police reported a retail theft around 8:07 p.m. July 31 at Wal-Mart, 801 N. Randall Road. Three subjects were involved, all of whom attempted to make purchases. Their credit cards were declined, and they attempted to use counterfeit money, reports said. No arrests were made, according to the report, and all left without any merchandise, and no arrests were made, according to the daily report synopsis.

 

Gasoline Gone

 

Someone took 15 gallons of gasoline from Feece Oil Co., 1700 Hubbard Ave., around 2:56 p.m. July 29, reports said. The gasoline was valued at $58.

 

Juvenile Arrested on Charges of Theft at Mendard's

A juvenile was arrested on charges of retail theft from Menards, 300 N. Randall Road, around 4:06 p.m. July 28, reports said. No other information is available.

 

Clothing, Watch Taken From Kohl's 

Three male juvenile subjects were seen leaving Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road, without paying for clothing and a watch valued at $153, reports said. The subjects were located, taken into custody, processed and released to their parents, reports said.

 

Woman Arrested on Charges of Retail Theft

Batavia police arrested Judith Tollios, 48, of Batavia on charges of retail theft around 2:45 p.m. July 23 at Menards, 300 N. Randall Road, reports said. She is charged with taking three diffusers valued at $38.97. She posted bond and has a court date of Aug. 13.
