I live in Batavia with my husband Bruce who is employed at Fermi Lab.  My two children are grown and on their own.  Currently I call myself "retired", it has a nice ring to it.

My passion is travel, it started in the 60's with family vacations and has been in my blood ever since.  I do have some resrictions I have placed on myself.  I do not want to book a flight that is longer than 4 hours.  It does limit my itineraries, but a car drive up to Galena is considered travel to me!

Like it or not, the only way to lure customers back to the Grand Victoria and The Hollywood Casino's would be to allow smoking inside the casino. The casino's are working to change state law and to amend the Illinois smoking laws. Smoking is not good, but the county has lost revenue from this law. Bars and casino's have lost money. Many people only smoke in bars and casino's. It is a place you can go and feel totally free. Bring back smoking sections in casinos, and the counties riverboat revenues will go up.
