Police on Saturday morning identified the man who died after a two-car crash Friday on Randall Road. The man is 61-year-old David A. Schele of Sugar Grove, according to Batavia police. Schele died due to injuries sustained in the crash, according to a police press release issued Saturday. "Schele had been transported to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL," the release said. "The cause of the crash is still under investigation." Schele's vehicle and another vehicle with a male and female inside were involved in the crash, which occurred at Randall Road and McKee Street in Batavia. A 54-year-old man that was fatally struck by a pickup truck on Monday was involved in another car crash earlier that day, police said. Dean Craig of Aurora was walking in the area of Dugan and Jericho roads in unincorporated Sugar Grove Township after he was involved in an earlier traffic crash to the north. The first crash occurred at about 6 p.m. on Monday, according to the Kane County Sheriff's Office. In the first crash, Craig said he was traveling north on Dugan Road about .2 miles south of Granart Road. He was making a left turn into a driveway of a residence to turn around, the Sheriff's Office said. Update: Police say Craig was involved in another traffic crash less than two hours before the Jericho Road crash. A 54-year-old Aurora man died after being struck by a pickup truck on Monday night in Southern Kane County, according to police. Dean Craig was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, which took place on Jericho Road between Dugan and Ashe roads in unincorporated Sugar Grove Township. The crash occurred at 7:40 p.m., the Kane County Sheriff's Office said. According to an initial investigation, a Toyota Tundra pickup was traveling east on Jericho Road when it struck a pedestrian, who was identified by police as Craig.
