Armed Robbery Reported at 7-Eleven on Butterfield Road
A man pointed a semi-automatic gun at a clerk, police said. Here's a suspect description.
A 7-Eleven store in North Aurora was robbed Thursday morning, according to police. The robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven on 718 Butterfield Road. This is in the plaza on the southwest corner of Butterfield and Hart/Mitchell roads. North Aurora patrol officers were dispatched to the scene at 5:35 a.m., according to a police statement released Friday afternoon. "Upon arrival, officers learned that at approximately 5:15 a.m., a male wearing a mask entered the store and pointed a small black gun at (a store clerk)," the statement said. "The suspect demanded cash from the register and the clerk complied, giving him an undetermined amount of cash."
