The Batavia woman that went to the hospital after a one-car crash earlier this month on Main Street received a citation in the incident, police said. The 34-year-old woman was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to a Batavia police crash report. The incident occurred at 11:27 a.m. Feb. 10 on the 1300 block of Main Street. Conditions were wet and icy on the roadway when the woman lost control of her crossover sport-utility vehicle. One female was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle rollover crash that snapped a utility pole Sunday on Batavia's west side, officials said. The incident occurred on Main Street between Feece Drive and Batavia Fire Station 2, said Randy Zies, Batavia Fire battalion chief. Station 2 is located at 1400 Main Street. One sport-utility or station wagon-type vehicle was involved in the crash. Emergency crews were initially dispatched to the scene at 11:27 a.m. Sunday.
