Fox Valley College Fair Is Tuesday at St. Charles East

Area high schools team up to host the evening event at the St. Charles East High School Main Gym.

On Tuesday, April 9, St. Charles East High School will host the annual Illinois College Exposition/Fox Valley College Fair from 6:30- to 8:30 p.m. in the St. Charles East High School Main Gym. Students who attend Batavia High School, Geneva High School, Kaneland High School, St. Charles East High School, St. Charles North High School, West Chicago High School,  or any other high school in the area and their parents are welcome to attend and receive firsthand information from over 180 college and university representatives that will be available that evening from all over the nation. The College Fair is an excellent opportunity for high school sophomores and juniors to ask questions and find out about admissions, financial aid, and programs…

Red Gate Bridge Opens With Saturday, Dec. 15, Ribbon Cutting

Brief remarks to be made in the Commons Area at St. Charles North High School prior to bridge opening.

Local dignitaries will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 15 to mark the opening of the $30 million Red Gate Bridge to vehicle traffic as scheduled. The opening will mark a milestone in 15 months of construction and the near completion of an odyssey that began decades ago when a new bridge on the north end of St. Charles first was envisioned. St. Charles officials have said the bridge will not officially be completed until next spring, when work is finished on the pedestrian and bicycle pathway that will connect a bike trail near St. Charles North High School with the Fox River Trail near Pinelands Road and existing trails on either side of the Fox River.
