The city of West Chicago seeks a qualified developer to rehabilitate a historic structure within the West Washington Street Redevelopment Project area, for retail, restaurant, office, commercial or cultural uses. The city has posted a request for qualifications (RFQ) for the former residence, sometimes referred to as the Joel Wiant House, 151 W. Washington St., on its website. Proposals, which are due no later than Monday, March 4, 2013, should be sent to the city of West Chicago, Department of Community Development, 475 Main St., West Chicago, IL 60185.
