Two arrests on charges of between 2.5 and 10 grams of marijuana plus an arrest for possession of a controlled substance were part of this week's Batavia police blotter. Possession of Controlled Substance—Batavia police arrested Tanya Gregoire, 24, of Geneva on charges of possession of a controlled substance around 10:31 p.m. May 15 at the Steak 'n Shake parking lot, 1901 McKee St., reports said. The report describes the controlled substance as “other drug, any amount.” Gregoire was transported to the Kane County Jail. Geneva police arrested Roman Ladron-DeGuevara, 35, of Geneva on charges of possession of a controlled substance and cited him for public intoxication around 12:31 a.m. Nov. 10 in the 1200 block of Lencioni Circle, reports said. According to the synopsis sheet, officers reported to a disturbance call by a neighbor. Ladron-DeGuevara was standing at the front door of the residence and was trying to wake someone to let him in. Reports said Ladron-DeGuevara had an unsteady gait, trouble keeping his balance and a strong odor of alcohol about him. As he was taken into custody for public intoxication, officers found three green pills inside a container in Ladron-DeGuevara’s front pocket. The report did not say what the drug might be but said …
