Police in Wheaton continue their investigation into the circumstances in which a Wisconsin woman stole a vehicle that later was involved in a high-speed crash that killed her and a Maple Park man, the Arlington Heights Daily Herald reports. Wheaton police are trying to determine what brought Jennifer Liston, 30, of Madison, Wis., to Wheaton, where she stole a car whose theft was reported at 8:34 p.m. Saturday, just 11 minutes before the deadly crash, the Daily Herald reports. Also, Geneva police told the Kane County Chronicle on Monday that prior to the fatal accident, Liston was involved in a hit-and-run crash in the 1300 block of West State Street, near Kaneville Road. Police on Wednesday identified the woman who was found dead that morning north of Kaneland High School. The woman is 57-year-old Joyce David of Elburn, according to a Kane County Sheriff's Department press release. David was found near a crossover sports-utility vehicle that was pulled over on the side of Meredith Road north of Keslinger Road in unincorporated Kaneville Township, police said. The SUV is a family vehicle, Lt. Pat Gengler said. It did not appear to have any visible damages to police. A passerby called police Wednesday at about 7:30 a.m. to report the vehicle pulled over on the road. Deputies found David at the scene. A woman's body was found in a vehicle Wednesday morning north of the Kaneland High School property, police said. At about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Kane County Sheriff's deputies were called to investigate a vehicle pulled over on the side of Meredith Road north of Keslinger Road in unincorporated Kaneville Township. The deputies located a deceased woman near the vehicle and began a death investigation into the incident, according to a Sheriff's Department press release.
