Fire Damages Home Northwest of St. Charles
Fox River & Countryside Fire/Rescue District and seven agencies assisted in combatting house fire.
Firefighters from seven agencies on Saturday battled for more than an hour to contain a fire that caused an estimated $350,000 in damage to a rural home just northwest of St. Charles. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the Fox River & Countryside Fire/Rescue District. Firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 5N353 Crane Road at 11:44 a.m., and arrived in eight minutes, where they found a two-story home with a well-involved fire, with heavy flames on the front and one side of the home, according to the district.
