The father said he never meant to cause fear or be threatening during the Jan. 10 incident. He
still takes issue with the school creed.
Here is the full text of Colin McGroarty's apology, posted on Facebook at about 9:20 a.m. Jan. 14: Apology to Geneva area residents I would like to apologize to Geneva area residents for unintentionally contributing to a heightened state of fear in the local area. My poor choice of wording in the publicly released statement after witnessing the children in the afternoon kindergarten class promising to obey rules and teachers while performing the Pledge of Allegiance was open to misinterpretation. Please understand that generating fear was not the intent. The event left me horrified and in a heightened emotional state due to my own personal knowledge and experience (knowledge of American history to include Eugenics, the genocide of my own …

Batavia police reports, Nov. 9-10
SATURDAY, NOV. 10 A mother on Batavia's west side reported at 12:04 a.m. that she had not seen her 16-year-old son since he left for school. He was to be home by 10 p.m. and had not returned. The mother had been in contact with her son through text messages, but he refused to return home. She did not know who he was with or where. The teen was entered into the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. He eventually said he would be back in the morning. FRIDAY, NOV. 9 A Batavia man was found "scrapping" from a green dumpster at 9:21 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Paramount Parkway, according to police. The man stated he had permission to go through the dumpster. Police determined that the subject had a suspended driver's license—he was told he…

Court records show Daniel Diomedes, now 18, was investigated a year before his felony arrest for threatening a Geneva High School dean. A hearing on the motion to quash is scheduled for Dec. 7.
A year before prosecutors claim Daniel Diomedes threatened a Geneva High School dean, police investigated him after a Facebook post referenced "killing people tomorrow." "... now all you geneva (expletive) can go tell the dean," Diomedes wrote in the 2010 message, according to a police affidavit for a search warrant. The message from April 2010 disturbed a GHS classmate enough to get police involved, which led to an investigation that also turned up suspected child pornography on the now 18-year-old Diomedes' computer, records shows. Kane County prosecutors have confirmed that Diomedes was charged in connection to those events, although it is unclear what the teen is accused of, because the case is pending in juvenile court. Meanwhile, …

To Top Sailsman (?) I guess that your job is sailing???? Anyway, what I want to say is that 1.) I'm guessing that Enough Already's spellcheck gave him or her an incorrect spelling of hire. 2.) Wheaton College is VERY highly regarded. If you don't believe me, simply Google "Wheaton College".   more ›
