Batavia Police Name Driver in Fatal Crash Friday on Randall Road

Police on Saturday morning identified the man who died after a two-car crash Friday on Randall Road. The man is 61-year-old David A. Schele of Sugar Grove, according to Batavia police. Schele died due to injuries sustained in the crash, according to a police press release issued Saturday. "Schele had been transported to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL," the release said. "The cause of the crash is still under investigation." Schele's vehicle and another vehicle with a male and female inside were involved in the crash, which occurred at Randall Road and McKee Street in Batavia. Man Dies After 2-Car Crash Friday on Randall Road

The man had to be extricated from his vehicle, fire officials said. Here's what we know.

Update: Batavia police Saturday morning identified the man who died after the crash. One man was taken to a hospital and two other people were treated and released after a two-car crash late Friday afternoon on Batavia's west side. The serious crash occurred in the area of Randall Road and McKee Street. Batavia police and fire crews were dispatched to the scene at about 6:22 p.m., according to a police press release issued late Friday night. One male driver was taken to Delnor Hospital by Batavia paramedics, said Lt. Scott Hogan of the Batavia Fire Department. His condition was not immediately available Friday evening. Multi-Vehicle Accident on Fabyan Parkway Tuesday at Settler's Hill Golf Entrance

A car, an SUV and another vehicle collide near the Settler's Hill Golf Course entrance, apparently with injuries and extrication.

Tri-Com Dispatch reported a multi-vehicle accident on Fayban Parkway near the entrance of Settler's Hill Golf Course around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. As of 2:55 p.m. Geneva police and emergency personnel were at the scene. Westbound traffic was blocked on Fabyan Parkway by a police vehicle at Kirk Road. Eastbound traffic was moving, directed by a police officer. Two vehicles were visible from the south side of Fabyan Parkway: a green car whose airbag was deployed and a white sports utility vehicle with damage to the front end. The SUV had team names and numbers written in white on the rear windows. "Let's Go Wildcats!" was written on a rear, driver's-side window. (See photos attached to this story.)
