David A. Schele, 61, of Sugar Grove, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. He was born February 10, 1952 in Aurora, Illinois. David was a 1970 graduate of West Aurora High School. He owned and operated Close Encounters Body Shop in North Aurora for 30 years. Survivors include his son, David A. Schele of Sugar Grove; his mother, Elaine Schele; three brothers, Gary (Kathy) of Beloit, WI, Robert of Valparaiso, IN and Brian (Cindy) of Sandwich; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Schele in 2001. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at The Daleiden Mortuary at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow in Mt. Police on Saturday morning identified the man who died after a two-car crash Friday on Randall Road. The man is 61-year-old David A. Schele of Sugar Grove, according to Batavia police. Schele died due to injuries sustained in the crash, according to a police press release issued Saturday. "Schele had been transported to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL," the release said. "The cause of the crash is still under investigation."
