UPDATE: Accused Stabber Was Visitor, Not Renter at Batavia Apartments

The women involved in last week's Batavia stabbing do not live or rent a unit at Batavia Apartments, police said. Here are some new details about this incident.

The two women involved in a stabbing last week in Batavia do not actually live at the complex where the stabbing took place, police said. Neither Cyrenthia Williams or the Aurora woman she attacked live at Batavia Apartments, said Glenn Autenrieth, a Batavia Police Department deputy chief. "The apartment the incident took place in was rented by another individual," Autenrieth said in an e-mail. Williams, 18, and the 26-year-old Aurora woman were in someone's apartment at the complex when a verbal argument turned physical, police said. Williams stabbed the Aurora woman with a knife in the back of her right shoulder, according to police. Williams was jailed after the incident, but she posted bond and was released over the weekend. Accused Batavia Stabber Released Over Weekend

Cyrenthia Williams of Chicago is out on $1,000 bond. The next court date for her case is Aug. 17.

The 18-year-old Chicago woman who is accused of stabbing another woman in Batavia was released from custody over the weekend, according to jail records. Cyrenthia D. Williams posted $1,000 bond, or 10 percent of a $10,000 bail, in addition to a $46 processing fee to leave the Kane County Jail Saturday afternoon. She had been there since early Friday morning. Williams faces two aggravated battery charges in connection to the stabbing, which took place on Thursday at Batavia Apartments, according to police. Batavia Police arrived to the apartment complex and found a 26-year-old Aurora woman who had been stabbed. POLICE: Woman Accused of Stabbing at Batavia Apartments Thursday

Cyrenthia D. Williams, 18, of Chicago was taken to the Kane County Jail. This is the second stabbing in about three months at Batavia Apartments.

An 18-year-old Chicago woman faces two counts of aggravated battery after a stabbing Thursday on Batavia's east side, according to police. Cyrenthia D. Williams, of the 5100 block of west Concorde Place, is accused of stabbing a 26-year-old Aurora woman with a knife, according to a Batavia Police Department press release. The incident happened inside a unit at the Batavia Apartments complex, 1259 E. Wilson St. Police said they were dispatched to the scene at 7:39 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, officers found the Aurora woman, who said she had been stabbed with a knife.
