Traffic Stop Leads to Marijuana Arrest

Geneva police arrested John Kent, 21, of Aurora on charges of possession of cannabis at around 12:28 a.m. Feb. 3 after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of South Kirk Road, Geneva police reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Kent possessed marijuana in an amount greater than 2.5 grams and less than 10 grams. He has a court date of March 5 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road. Kent also was cited for driving 46 mph in a 25 mph zone.   Patch reports on law enforcement activity in Geneva, using information provided by official agencies. Police Seize 15 Lbs. of Cannabis, Tri-Cities Man Charged

Sheriff's deputies arrested this 39-year-old and confiscated $15,000 in low-grade cannabis. Here are the details.

A local man faces felony drug charges after police descended upon his west-side home containing cannabis and cash. Frank Brunke, 39, is charged with possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver and possession of cannabis, according to Kane County Sheriff’s Lt. Pat Gengler. He said both counts are felonies. Gengler said detectives from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant at about 7:30 p.m. Wed., Nov. 7, at 216 Birch Ave., St Charles. Kane County sheriff’s officers and St. Charles police seized weed and money. “We recovered about 15 pounds of low-grade cannabis worth about $15,000.
