A 33-year-old Batavia man is facing charges afer hitting a victim over the head, then trying to allude police, Batavia police reports said. Batavia police arrested Paul E. Thomas, 33, of Batavia on charges of battery and obstructing/resisting a police officer after an incident reported around 7:42 p.m. May 11 in the 500 block of East Wilson Street. Police responded to reports of a victim being hit in the head by an offender. When they arrived, Thomas attempted to leave the scene. Jogger on bike path on St. Charles’ South Side was accosted Friday afternoon, May 10, police said.
An unspecified reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who reportedly battered a woman jogging along a bike path in St. Charles. Police said the incident was reported at 9:57 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, after the 29-year-old victim reported that a man grabbed her buttock while she was running in the 1100 block of Geneva Road. The woman told police she was running north when the man, walking in the opposite direction, reached out and grabbed her. The woman told police she immediately stopped to confront the man, who ran off into the wooded area near the Park Shore Apartments. Battery Reported at Funway A male juvenile was charged with battery after an incident reported at around 3:18 p.m. April 13 at Funway, 1335 S. River St., Batavia police reports said. The offender was on an outing from the residential facility where he lives, according to reports, when the juvenile "became physically aggressive with staff members who were supervising the outing." One involved an arrest, the other was an incident at a nail spa that was resolved without an arrest. Battery—Batavia police arrested Daniel M. Rubio, 50, of Batavia on battery charges following an incident around 1:49 p.m. March 30 in the 100 block of Church, reports said. Rubio posted $150 bond and has a court date of May 14, reports said. A 28-year-old Batavia man is headed to court after a series of incidents earlier this month, including one in which he lifted a female's skirt, police said. Geneva police arrested Nathan Bucy on charges of battery insulting/provoking contact and disorderly contact prior to 9:22 a.m. Dec. 10. The incidents in question occurred at a business on the 500 block of South Third Street and “other places than those listed,” according to police. A 46-year-old Batavia man faces three charges in connection to an incident outside a gas station on Monday. Jeffrey S. Greer, 46, of the first block of North Batavia Avenue, was charged with vehicular invasion, robbery and battery. North Aurora police patrol officers responded to a disturbance involving Greer at about 8:40 a.m. Monday at Thornton's on the 400 block of South Lincolnway (Route 31). Upon arrival, officers learned that Greer approached a vehicle occupied by two females and asked for money. One of the females, who was seated in the passenger seat, refused. Geneva police cited Thomas Grimston, 21, of Batavia for battery and public intoxication after an altercation at around 1:59 a.m. Oct. 13 on the sidewalk in the 200 block of West State Street, reports said.
