Do not add water. This solution can be used to wash skin, clothes, dogs, etc. that have been sprayed by skunks. Due to the peroxide, the solution may lighten the fur of pets. The Humane Society of the United States suggests the same solution. It also adds that if you don't have peroxide on hand, vinegar diluted with water will work. However, don't mix …

The 7-Eleven streak of lottery winners in Batavia continues. “I always play Raffle, I like the odds, especially now!” said Jeff White after winning $100,000 playing the Illinois Lottery’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle. White checked the list of 509 winning Raffle numbers on the Illinois Lottery’s website and discovered that one of them — 316771 — matched his Raffle number. “I couldn’t believe it,” he said. White has lived in Batavia for 11 years. He plans to invest the winnings for now. When asked if he had any advice for other Lottery players he said, “You’ve got to be in the game to win, and it’s fun to win. Even if you just play one dollar a week, you can’t win if you don’t play.” The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, 336 East …

Geneva's Caribou Coffee is among the surviving stores, but the Batavia Caribou Coffee shop on Randall Road is one of the casualties among 80 Caribou franchises that will close this weekend. Maggie at the Geneva Caribou said, "We're OK." An employee at the Batavia Caribou, who asked not to be named, said "all employees are going to be let go." Caribou employees are team members who do everything from tending the coffee bar to cooking food to serving customers at the register to cleaning up. Except for store managers, they are hourly employees. "Everybody has equal duties," the Batavia employee said. Asked what he or she would do after the final day, the employee said, "I have no idea." The company let Batavia employees know about the …

So back to the real subject of this article...Our dog has been sprayed 3 times. We've tried all methods to get rid of the smell. It really just takes time. Just as you are careful to protect the eyes, the "other end of the pet" (if you know what I mean) needs protection too …   more ›
