Weekend Picks: the Bulldogs (as Always) and Batavia VFW's Excellent Toy & Food Run
Bring new unwrapped toys and a food item to the Batavia VFW and help local charities. Then stay and enjoy food, beverages, music and many vendors.
OK, this weekend, there's this little thing a couple towns over called Scarecrow Fest. You can read more about it on St. Charles Patch, if you're interested. And if you really want to go north, young man, there's Lynyrd Skynyrd + John Kay & Steppenwolf at the riverboat in Elgin.
Closer to home, the Bulldogs take on St. Charles North on Friday, and that's a big game that should take Batavia one step closer to wrapping up the Upstate Eight River Division title.
And there's a really wonderful event Saturday, when the Batavia VFW hosts its annual toy and food run.
