Week Ahead: Bulldogs in Semifinals, City Budget, Science Blast Camp
The No. 2 seed Batavia Bulldogs travel to Rockford Boylan Catholic to face off against the No. 1 seed Titans.
It's a week of sports, science and dollars and cents in Batavia.
Class 6A Football Playoffs
The No. 2 seed Batavia Bulldogs travel to Rockford Boylan Catholic to face off against the No. 1 seed Titans. Game time is 1 p.m. Saturday. The winner will line up agaisnt the winner of the Oak Lawn Richards/East St. Louis game at the state championship Nov. 30 at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb.
2014 City Budget
The Batavia City Council's Joint Committee of the Whole will meet Thursday to talk about the 2014 budget. The council also will go into executive session to discuss the purchase and sale of electric power.
Science Blast Camp for K-5th Grade
Children will learn how to make circuits with conductive play dough, programming lego robots, use acoustic slime, building catapults and many more fun and interactive science experiments. All this at Science Camp at Batavia High School, sponsored by the BHS robotics team.
