Bitter Cold Temperatures Could Hit Batavia Friday

That bitter cold front now headed toward the Rockies moves our way and is expected to hit full force on Friday, Dec. 6. For updated forecast, plug in "60510" or "Batavia, IL" into the weather widget below.

Looks like it will be into the 50s on Tuesday in Batavia.

But that will change quickly, as the bitter cold front that's now in the Rockies is headed this way.

"Temperatures by Wednesday and Thursday won't rise above zero in parts of North Dakota and Montana while overnight lows approach 30 F below zero. This cold outbreak will mark the coldest weather of the season for much of the western two-thirds of the nation," AccuWeather said.

Batavia won't get it quite so bad, but Friday's temperature is expected to get down to 8 degrees with a high of 21 degrees.
