Blood Drive

The donation process takes about an hour from start to finish and includes: registration, a health history survey, blood pressure and an iron level check. The blood draw itself is approximately 7 to 9 minutes. Patients who benefit from blood transfusions range from a newborn, to a teen battling cancer, to a trauma victim. Much of today’s
medical care depends on a steady supply of blood from healthy donors.

You do not need to know your blood type to be a blood donor.  First time blood donors will find out their blood type as early as the next day by calling Heartland.
