I-88 Lanes Between Fox River and Route 59 to Close for Weekend Repairs

Use caution and expect delays. Lanes should be open by Monday.

Eastbound lane closures are scheduled for this weekend on the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) between the Fox River in Aurora and Illinois Route 59 in Naperville as part of ongoing pavement work.

Delays are expected and drivers are encouraged to plan additional time for travel this weekend.

At 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, one lane is scheduled to close for the duration of the repairs and a second lane will close at 8 p.m. to begin pavement removal. Two of the three lanes will be reopened by 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, to reduce the impact on weekend travel.

At 7 p.m. on Saturday, traffic between the Fox River and Farnsworth Avenue will be reduced to one lane overnight so crews can pour concrete for roadway repairs. The section from Farnsworth Avenue to Illinois Route 59 will close at 8 p.m. Two of the three lanes will be reopened by 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10. A single lane will remain closed to allow the new concrete to set and cure with all three lanes scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11.
