Today in Batavia: School Budget and Homecoming Fun

It's all about Batavia schools on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Or, at least, schools capture a lot of attention on this day.
Of course, it's Homecoming week at Batavia High School, and Tuesday is "Jersey Day" at the school.
On Tuesday afternoon, the School Board's Finance Committee takes a look at the budget during a meting a noon. The full School District 101 Board of Education will likely vote on the budget at its 7 p.m meeting Tuesday.

- Teen Advisory Group — The inaugural meeting of the Batavia Public Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG) will be held at 7 p.m., Sept. 24, at the library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.
- Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham —Pulitzer Prize-winning author and contributing editor at Time, Jon Meacham is one of America’s most prominent public intellectuals. He's speaking Tuesday at Aurora University.
