Today in Batavia: Interested in Gifted Programs? Meet District 101's New School Superintendent!

Here's your chance to meet and get to know Dr. Lisa Hichens.

Lisa Hichens officially took over as Batavia School District 101 superintendent in July. Today, Hichens is taking part in a meet and greet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the Rosalie Jones Administration Building, 335 W. Wilson St., to talk about Batavia's gifted programs.

Hichens has served as Batavia High School principal since 2009. She first joined the district in 1994 as math teacher at Batavia High School. Then she progressed to other leadership roles including serving as Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning, a post she held from 2005 to 2009.
