Fraud is one of those crimes that happens way more often than one might think. And, of course, that includes Batavia. You can learn more about how to prevent it at a Batavia program on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.
A Fraud Prevention Program is scheduled for 10 a.m., Oct. 3, at Batavia City Hall, 100 N. Island Ave. in Batavia. Representatives from the Attorney General’s Office will provide information about identity theft and common fraud tactics often used to target senior citizens, such as Internet lotteries and mail scams.
