ON TO DeKALB! Ticket Sales, Activities Info for Football Championship Game

The Batavia High School football team is heading to the IHSA State Championship football game, and the Batavia community is invited to be a part of the pre-game and game-day activities.

The Batavia Bulldogs will face the Richards (Oak Lawn) Bulldogs at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Northern Illinois University stadium in DeKalb.

Pre-Game Ticket Sales 

Tickets are $10 each and will be available for purchase at multiple locations and times from now until Nov. 28, 2013:

Students can purchase tickets at lunchtime Monday and Tuesday at Batavia High School.

The Batavia Athletic Office will sell tickets:

  • from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the high school;
  • from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday during Media and Youth Night at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre;
  • from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during Windmill City Classic in the field house hallway;
  • from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday during the Thanksgiving Team Practice & BYF Turkey Bowl at Batavia High School Stadium.

Pre-Game Activities

Media & Youth Night 

The media and youth are invited to the Batavia Fine Arts Centre Atrium from 7:30 p.m to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Media & Youth Night is an opportunity for Bulldog fans to meet, take photos and get autographs from the players they have watched all season! This event is also an opportunity for the local media to interview players and coaches and get information about the team and state final game. Media personnel should enter the Batavia Fine Arts Centre from the Wilson Street side (the North Parking Lot).  

Thanksgiving Team Practice & BYF Turkey Bowl 

The community is invited to watch the Bulldogs during their normal pre-game practice from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m on Thanksgiving Day at Batavia High School.

During practice, Batavia Youth Football players are invited to play Turkey Bowl games on the BHS practice fields adjacent to the stadium. These games will be supervised by representatives from Batavia Youth Football.

Batavia Youth Football players should arrive by 8:45 a.m. to form a tunnel for the players to run through onto the field. The tunnel will form behind the field house.

Game Day Information


Tickets
  • Tickets will be sold starting at 8:30 a.m. at the NIU gate

  • Tickets will allow access to all games for the day.

  • The first game of the day is at 10 a.m.

  • Seating

    • All seats are general admission.

    • Batavia fans are being directed to the West Main stands south of the 50-yard line.

    • Wheelchair accessible seats are located in the East stands only.

  • No bags larger than 14 X 10 X 8.5 inches will be allowed

  • Spectator Parking

    • Fans who drive their own automobiles shall park at the Convocation Center. There will be a $5 fee for public parking.

    • Parking is also available in Lot K for a fee of $10 per car.

    • Handicap parking is available in Lot L, located off Stadium Drive East, for $5 per car with a valid Handicap permit. A shuttle will be provided to transfer guests to Huskie Stadium.
