Batavia Girls Basketball Update: Oswego Tourney Schedule, Bayram Out For Season

Here's an update on the Lady Bulldogs.

The Batavia Girls Basketball team will soldier on this year without one of their leading players.

Starting center Erin Bayram has a torn ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season, said Kevin Jensen, Head Girls Basketball coach.

The girls played without Bayram on Tuesday at East Aurora High School. Batavia was led in scoring by junior guard Miranda Grizaffi with 8 points. Sophomore guard Liza Fruendt and junior forward Katie Ryan each had 6 points.

East Aurora took the game 44-38. Batavia is now 4-5.

Then Batavia heads to Oswego High School, 4250 Route 71, Oswego, for tournament play. The team's first game there is at 4:30 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 10. vs. Neuqua Valley.

  • All varsity games will be played in the Oswego High School Main Gym.
  • All sophomore games will be played at the same time as Varsity in the fieldhouse.
  • There will be a 15-min. warm-up period between games.
  • The teams listed first in each grouping above are the home teams and will wear light-colored uniforms.
  • Tie Breakers will be determined by Head-to-Head, Points Allowed, then by Free Throw Percentage.
