Girls Basketball: Batavia's Bayram Sustains Injury

The sophomore center and captain sat out part of Saturday's game against St. Charles East with a banged-up knee, according to media reports.

The starting center for the Batavia Girls Basketball team is headed to a physician this week after an injury on Saturday.

Erin Bayram appeared to be in severe pain during Saturday's game against St. Charles East, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

The Lady Dawgs fared better earlier last week during a game against St. Edwards (Elgin). Batavia was led in scoring by Liza Fruendt, 18 points, and Tamar Norville, 13 points. Sophomore Bayram also added 8 points. The Bulldogs are currently 4-4 after Saturday's loss to St. Charles East.
