The Batavia-Larkin game wasn't even close.
The Bulldogs wiped the floor with the Royals on Friday, quickly building on their lead and keeping them scoreless to take a 48-0 win.
Batavia put up seven touchdowns, with a side of extra-point kicks to all but one. It was 21-0 by the first quarter and 35-0 at halftime. Wow.
Senior offensive tackle Adam Hunger ran in the first touchdown, followed by touchdowns from:
- Senior fullback Tyler Miller (2 TD)
- Senior wide receiver Zach Strittmatter
- Junior running back Anthony Scaccia
- Junior running back Patrick Ward
- Senior quarterback Dan Albrecht
This is the Bulldogs 2nd shutout of the season. On Sept. 14, they routed Streamwood 33-0.
The varsity team also switched up their uniforms to "Black Out Cancer" during the game, held at Batavia High School. They wore their black Batavia Youth Football practice jerseys, a nod to the BYF kids. They also wore pink on their shoes—it was a color visible throughout Bulldog Stadium. The varsity performers had pink poms and people proudly wore the bright color in the stands.
Batavia takes on St. Charles North at Batavia High School next Friday, Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m. See you then!
