The Bulldogs will play Lake Villa at 5 p.m. today, Saturday, Nov. 12, at Lakes Community High School, 1600 Eagle Way in Lake Villa, IL.

There will be a tailgate party this afternoon in Batavia, plus BATV will live stream today's game online from Lake Villa. The details are below.

Family, Fans and Friends Team Sendoff & Tailgate

A tailgate will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., (Wilson Street side), Wilson Street and Western Avenue, Batavia.

On the menu is a $2 meal which includes a hot dog, chips and water provided by Bulldogs Red Hots. All proceeds from this meal will be donated back to Batavia High School, according to Head Football Coach Dennis Piron.

Student fan buses will leave the school at 2:30 p.m. for Lake Villa, with a fan/parent caravan.

BATV Live Stream of Batavia vs. Lake Villa

Batavia Access Television (BATV) will live stream today's game from Lake Villa.  

You can only see the live stream at batv.us or on certain smart phones with the "UStream" app. There will be no live Comcast or AT&T coverage in the Batavia area of this game.

BATV coverage will begin at 4:30 p.m. today with pre-game commentary. Full-game coverage begins with kick-off at 5 p.m.

BATV usually only live streams the Batavia , but this season they for several away games and the IHSA playoff games.

Over 400 people watched an Oct. 28 BATV live stream of the Notre Dame.

BATV's audience for the on Sept. 30 grew to over 900 viewers during the 4th quarter, according to BATV's website.

For iPhone and Android users:

  • Go to your respective app area on your phone and search for the “Ustream” app. For the iPhone, this is the App Store. For Android devices, this is the Market.
  • The iPhone "Ustream" download can only be done with a wireless connection, or computer hookup. If you connect your iPhone to a computer, it has to have iTunes and an Internet connection.
  • Once installed, search for "batv." A couple BATV channels should appear.
  • Click the BATV channel that says "Channel 17 LIVE"

This is what happened on Friday... 

  • The Batavia Football team had an "Under the Lights" open practice for the community and the fans.
  • Free hot chocolate and coffee was scheduled to be available, courtesy of the Batavia Bulldog Boosters.
  • The Batavia Girls Basketball team had its Open House and Tip-Off. The head coach is Kevin Jensen, an assistant Batavia Football coach.
  • Jensen is one of three people coaching two sports at once as the Bulldogs continue their playoff run. The others are Adam Kolowski (Boys Basketball) and Scott Bayer (Wrestling).
