Batavia Football Semifinal Events: Family Tailgate, BATV Live Stream

Here's what you need to know for this weekend.

Here are some more updates for this weekend's Batavia Football's semifinal.

The Bulldogs will play Prairie Ridge at 1 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 19, at , 1201 Main St., in Batavia.

NOTE: You had to RSVP for this event before 8 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 17.

The Batavia Quarterback Club, in conjunction with the Batavia Sports Boosters, is hosting a Semifinal Playoff Tailgate Party at Batavia High School for ALL Batavia Football families, friends, and fans from 10 a.m. to noon this Saturday, Nov. 19.  

Bulldog’s Red Hots will be grilling hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and brats with cole slaw for a cost of $5 per person. Drinks can be purchased separately. Bulldog’s once again will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from drink sales to Batavia High School.

In addition, you are encouraged to bring your favorite tailgate snacks and treats to share with your friends and family.

BATV Live Broadcast

BATV will have a live stream and a live television broadcast of the Bulldogs' semifinal matchup with Prairie Ridge.

This matchup can be seen on Comcast Channel 17 in Batavia, AT&T U-verse Channel 99 (Public) throughout all of northern Illinois, and streaming online at www.BATV.us

Pre-game commentary starts at 12:30 p.m., followed by full-game coverage at 1 p.m.

Media Night (Nov. 16)

On Wed., Nov 16 the Batavia Football program hosted a media night & youth football "meet the players night" in the and commons area surrounding the auditorium.

This media night was designed to simplify the increased request for interviews the program received due to Batavia's Saturday hosting of the IHSA 6A semifinal round.

Local media were invite to attend the evening for interviews and information about this week's game and this year's team.

The "Meet The Players" component alllowed local youth football and grade school students a chance to meet, take pictures and get autographs from their favorite Bulldog players that they have watched all season.

Interviews of key staff and players were held in the auditorium.

Players also signed autographs and posed for pictures with Batavia Youth Football tackle and flag players.
