Update: H.C. Storm, Rotolo Cancel Activities, Most BHS Activities Still On Thursday

The snow is changing some of the after-school schedules. Here's the latest.

Some have called off their activities this afternoon due to the snowy weather:

These schools have canceled ALL after-school activities for today, Jan. 12:

Batavia High School has canceled the following activities:

  • Tutoring and Testing Center
  • Art Club
  • After-practice weightlifting for Batavia Freshman Boys Basketball. Practice will end at 4:30 p.m.
  • All Batavia Girls Basketball practices will end at 4:45 p.m., according to Head Coach Kevin Jensen.

The majority of after-school BHS activities will continue as planned, according to an online message sent from the school.

The National Weather Service still forecasts blowing snow, with a total accumulation of 8 inches. Batavia Patch is driving around town this afternoon, and roads are slick, salt or no salt. Drive slowly, especially around turns.
