Flashback: Grace McWayne First Day of School 2011
The Grace McWayne School grounds were filled with excited students and parents.
Here is Part 5 of 6 looking at in back-to-school mode last year, in a series of never-before-seen photos:
School is cool! We're not sure who was happier, the students or the parents. All seemed to be glad to be at Grace McWayne Elementary on Aug. 23, 2011.
The rain began to fall just as the students started to file into the school and parents enthusiastically waved goodbye.

Kevin Skomer, still Grace McWayne's principal at the time, addressed the parents at a PTO welcome coffee event and talked about what a great school year this was going to be.
"It's nice to see the kids back," he said. "It's been too quiet as Mr. Cone and I were the only ones passing in the halls over the summer".
