J.B. Nelson School has canceled its Winter Concert, called "Our Gift to You." The school will reschedule this performance for a future date.

"We know this will disappoint many as they have worked so hard to prepare for this event, however we felt that the safety of our families and staff is what is most important," JBN Principal Nicole Prentiss said in an online message.

The upcoming storm also caused many flights to be canceled. As of early Thursday afternoon, O'Hare canceled 200 flights and Midway had 150 flights dropped. This includes all Southwest Airlines flights after 4:30 p.m. at the airport.
