Winter Storm, Cold: 5-10 Inches of Snow, Wind Chills of 50 Below Zero

The most extreme wind chills are expected between late Sunday and Monday afternoon, with wind chills of 40 to 50 below zero.

You name it, we got it, with winter conditions in the danger zone for snow and for cold.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has a Winter Storm Warning in effect for Kane County until 6 p.m. Sunday and a Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 6 p.m. Sunday to noon Tuesday.

We could get 5 to 10 more inches of snow before it's all over and wind gusts of up to 30 mph, leading to hazardous travel conditions.

A prolonged period of wind chills of more than 30 below zero are expected through Tuesday. The most extreme wind chills are expected between late Sunday and Monday afternoon, with wind chills of 40 to 50 below zero.
