Weather Alert: 'It Won't Be Long Before We'll All Be There With Snow'

Only a couple inches are expected, so it might be tough to wash your hands, your face and hair with snow.

Where's Rosemary Clooney when you need her?

If you want to wash your hands, your face and hair with snow, there's good news, because as the lyrics suggest, "It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow."

You know what I'm talking about. The National Weather Service—Chicago has a Hazardous Weather Outlook in place for our neck of the woods. It's supposed to start snow-oh-oh-ing after midnight Friday and continue through most of the day Saturday.

Still, the NWS-C is predicting less accumulation than some televisions stations have in their forecasts, maybe just an inch or two. There is a chance of some lake effect snow in, appropriately, Lake County as well as Northwest Indiana, so you can take a drive if you're feeling Clooney-ish and want to see those glist'ning houses that seem to be built of snow.

That's right. Glist-ning.

Where it's snowing
All winter through
That's where I want to be
Snowball throwing
That's what I'll do
How I'm longing to ski
Through the snow-oh-oh-oh-oh

So, what's your wager. Will there be a White Christmas this season? No rush with your answer. We'll let you sleep on it ...

And dream
Of snow
