Batavia Chosen as Venue for Congressional Student Art Awards

The winners of the 2013 Congressional Art Competition will be announced during an award ceremony which will be open to the public Friday at Water Street Studios.

Batavia has earned a reputation over the years of being a community that supports art and the arts.

So what better place for 14th District Congressman Randy Hultgren to select for handing out awards to area young people in the 2013 Congressional Art Competition?

Student artists from area high schools, family, friends and art teachers are encouraged to attend the event at 6 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Water Street Studios, 160 South Water St., Batavia.
