Garbage Pickup Schedule Unchanged By Cold — So Far
"As of now, the city's garbage collection will take place on its normal schedule this week."
The city of Batavia garbage pickup schedules this week appear to be unchanged by the bitter cold.
Geneva, which also uses Advanced Disposal, said Monday that the schedule was as usual.
Garbage pickup was delayed a day during the last polar vortex event, the week following Monday, Jan. 7.
Advanced Disposal has apparently soldiered on during the extreme cold. Here's a photo of pickup in St. Charles on Monday, Jan. 27.
Batavia residents should have all material out by 6 a.m. on your collection day but no earlier than the evening before.
- Wednesday: Between Randall Rd. and Kirk Rd. from Wilson St. to the south. Note: Both north and south sides of Wilson St. will be collected on Wednesday
- Thursday: Between Randall Rd. and Kirk Rd. north of Wilson St.
- Friday: West of Randall Rd. from Fabyan Pkwy. to southern city limits
