Batavia Garbage Collection Delayed a Day Due to Extreme Cold
Christmas tree pickup is delayed a day, as well.
This just in from the city of Bataiva: Refuse collection — which includes Christmas tree pickup — will be delayed a day.
"Due to the extreme cold on Monday, refuse collection will be delayed one day this week similar to a holiday schedule," the city of Batavia website says.
As part of the City of Batavia’s refuse contract, Advanced Disposal normally would be picking up live Christmas trees on residents’ regular collection dates, but that's delayed a day, along with the regular pickup.

South Side (Wilson to the south between Kirk/Randall):
Wednesday, Jan. 8, is NOW DELAYED A DAY to Thursday, Jan. 9.

It will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
North Side (north of Wilson to Fabyan between Kirk/Randall):
Thursday, Jan. 9, is NOW DELAYED A DAY to Friday, Jan. 10.
It will resume on Thursday, Jan. 16.
Far West Side (Randall west to City limits):
Friday, Jan. 10, is NOW DELAYED A DAY to Saturday, Jan. 11.
It will resume on Friday, Jan. 17.
