Young Batavian Racks Up DUI, Cannabis Possession Charges After Hitting Mailbox

A 20-year-old west-side resident's crash while backing into a mailbox led to multiple charges on Feb. 12 after became involved.
Ryan M. Kirk of 1305 Fagan Rd. was charged with driving under the influence, unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, possession of cannabis and improper backing after he hit a mailbox at 1164 Concord Ct.
Kirk posted $100 bond, was released to his parents and is scheduled to appear in court on March 23.
