Woman Bitten by Unsecured Dog When She Gets Out of Car on Wilson Street
Two unsecured dogs charge aggressively at a woman, and she is bitten by one, Batavia police reports said.
In a report filed at 11:25 a.m. Dec. 8, a victim told police she had just exited her vehicle in the 400 block of West Wilson Street when one of two small dogs at the main entrance ran into the parking lot and bit her in the lower leg.
The officer noted a puncture wound and some moderate bleeding on the victim's calf, the report said. The woman refused medical treatment, Batavia Detective Sgt. Shawn Mazza said via email.
The offender could not provide rabies info or information on this veterinarian, the report said. The officer contacted animal control and found the dog was past due on the rabies shot since May.
