[VIDEO] Media Asks St. Charles Grad: 'Did You Bury Your Baby Child in the Desert?'
Television crews grill Jenna Farrey as she's extradited to Texas. "A 5-month-old child is dead. That is your child. Do you have anything to say?"

Former St. Charles resident and St. Charles East graduate Jenna Farrey returned to El Paso, TX, on Tuesday night amid the glare of television camera lights and reporters asking about the death of her 5-month-old son, Jackson.
KFOX14 TV in El Paso, TX, aired footage late Tuesday of 20-year-old Jenna Farrey’s return to El Paso and subsequent trip to the El Paso County Jail, where she her husband, Jeffrey Farrey, 22, also formerly of St. Charles, already is incarcerated in the death of the couple’s infant son, 5-month-old Jackson Farrey. The infant’s body was found buried in the New Mexico desert about 30 miles from El Paso.
Early Tuesday, the Escanaba, MI, Daily Press reported that Jenna Farrey would be returned to Texas that day after being incarcerated since Nov. 17, 2013, at the Delta County Jail in Escanaba.

She and husband, Jeffrey Farrey, were arrested Nov. 17 in an Escanaba motel after they and their two sons, ages 19 months and 5 months, were reported missing two days earlier from their home in El Paso.
After their arrest, 19-month-old Blake was placed in care of Child Protective Services in Delta County. Their 5-month-old son Jackson was not with them.

Their disappearance, and the discovery of a suicide note in their home, launched an intensive search that ended with the discovery of the couple and their 19-month-old son more than 600 miles away on Michigan’s upper peninsula.
Jeffrey Farrey was extradited soon after their arrest. He was charged in a federal warrant with being absent without leave from his duties as a U.S. Army specialist based in Fort Bliss, TX. Jenna Farrey was arrested on a fugitive warrant for probation violation on her conviction in January of two 2012 child abandonment charges.
Jackson’s body was found Nov. 20.
Jeffrey Farrey has been charged and is being held on $1.5 million bail on a felony count of injury to a child by omission.
