Update: Batavia Man Cited After Kirk Road Collision Thursday

The driver was cited for failure to yield while turning left and driving with a suspended license, according to media reports. He was involved in a two-car crash Thursday at Kirk Road and Fabyan Parkway during rush hour.

A 33-year-old Batavia man received a citation after a crash on Thursday that sent a woman to a hospital.

Jamie F. Linares, of the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle, was cited for failure to yield while turning left and driving with a suspended license, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

The 85-year-old Aurora woman that was taken to Delnor Hospital after the crash has since been treated and released, the Chronicle's story said.

Linares and the woman were involved in a car vs. pickup crash Thursday afternoon at Kirk Road and Fabyan Parkway. The front of the car collided with the side of the pickup truck, said Randy Banker, a battalion chief.

After the crash occurred, a semi that was trying to drive past the commotion ended up partially in a drainage ditch and further delayed traffic. To read our initial story on this incident, click .
