Traffic Arrests Include Accident With Injuries

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Most of the traffic stops in Batavia for the past couple weeks have had to do with no valid driver's license or driving with a suspended or revoked license, but there were a few arrests that involve additional charges. Here's a roundup:

 

TRAFFIC ARRESTS MAY 6 to MAY 12, 2013

  • Police arrested Juan Mora, 34, of St. Charles on charges of no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop around 3:54 p.m. May 12 on South Batavia Avenue, reports said. Mora also was issued a warning citation for having an unsafe tire/wheel. He was released from the scene and has a court date of June 11.
  • Police arrested Manuel Octavio Martinez-Alba, 27, of North Aurora on charges of no valid driver’s license and driving while license suspended around 8:55 May 12 at Bond and South Batavia Avenue, reports said. Martinez-Alba posed  $150 bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Illegal Transportation of Alcohol—Batavia police arrested Michael P. Connard, 46, of West Chicago on charges of improper signaling, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving while license suspended, according to a report filed around 11:55 p.m. May 11, reports said. Connard was released with a court date of June 11.
  • Police arrested Paulino Bautista-Bello, 23, of Aurora on charges of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after a collision at West Fabyan Parkway and Route 31 around 3:41 p.m. May 9, reports said. Bautista-Bello posted $200 bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Police arrested Timothy Dreyer, 21, of Aurora on charges of driving while license suspended, disobeying a stop sign and speeding, after a traffic stop around 9:33 p.m. May 9 at Ridgelawn Trail and Hart Road, reports said. Dreyer posted $150 bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Accident With Injuries Arrest—Police arrested Rolando Pedraza, 49, of West Chicago on charges of no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, after an accident involving three vehicles around 6:45 a.m. May 7 in the 1400 block of North Kirk Road, reports said. Two of the drivers refused medical treatment and one was transported to Delnor Hospital, reports said. Pedraza has a court date of June 18.
  • Police arrested Jose Lopez-Arias, 35, of Aurora on charges of no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured vehicle around 5:16 p.m. May 7 at Raddant Road and Wind Energy Pass, reports said. He posted $200 bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Police arrested Francisco Jaramillo-Hernandez, 25, of Aurora on charges of speeding and no valid driver’s license around 12:22 a.m. May 6, reports said. He has a court date of June 4.

  • Batavia police arrested Sarah N. Biggerstaff, 19, of Melose park around 9:07 p.m. May 5 on South Randall Road on charges of driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a defective muffler or exhaust system. She posted $200 bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Batavia police arrested Eliel Diaz, 37, of Aurora on a charge of no valid driver’s license around 5:06 p.m. May 2 at the intersection of Mather Lane and South Forest Lane, reports said. Diaz also was given a warning notice for speeding. Diaz posted an I-Bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Batavia police arrested Lilia Corral, 53, of Batavia on a charge of driving while license suspended around 6:19 p.m. May 2 in the 200 block of North Randall Road, reports said. She was issued a warning notice for improper display—tinted or obscured plastic cover. She posted an I-bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Police arrested Martha Aguirre, 37, of Batavia on a charge of no valid driver’s license around 12:53 a.m. May 1 in the 200 block of East Wilson Street. She was released on her signature and has a court date of May 21.
  • Police arrested Martin Castro-Jamie, 29, of Batavia on charges of speeding and driving while license suspended in the 1000 block of Wilson Street, around 1:19 p.m. May 1 in the 1000 block of East Wilson Street, reports said. He posted $150 bond and has a court date of June 4.
  • Batavia police arrested Pedro Hernandez, 46, of West Dundee on charges of no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with expired registration around 2:57 p.m. May 1, reports said. He posted $150 bond and has a court date of June 11.
  • Police arrested Maria J. Calderon, 36, of Aurora on charges of no valid driver’s license around 12:21 a.m. May 2, reports said. No further information was available at the time of the report.
  • Batavia police arrested Jorge Sanchez-Davalos, 27, of Aurora on charges of driving while license suspended. He post $150 bond and has a court date of June 4.
  • Traffic Arrest/Warrant Service—Police arrested Mario Alvarez, 34, of West Chicago on charges of driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid driver’s license and improper display of front registration after a traffic stop around 10:16 a.m. April 29, reports said. Alvarez posted I-Bond and has a court date of June 11. Police also discovered Alvarez had an outstanding warrant from DuPage County for failure to appear/driving while license suspended. He posted $500 bond plus the $75 service fee and has a court date of May 28.
  • Police arrested Eddi Ramos-Perez, of Aurora on charges of driving while license suspended and speeding around 1:22 p.m. April 29 in the 500 block of South River Street, reports said. He posted $150 bond and has a court date of June 4.
  • Police arrested Eulogio Gonzalez-Garcia, 68, of Batavia on charges of driving while license suspended, failure to yield at an intersection, and operating a vehicle with no BAIID when required, according to a report filed at 6:50 p.m. April 29 at the intersection of North Raddant Road and East Wilson Street, reports said. Gonzalez-Garcia posted $160 bond and has a court date of May 15.
  • Batavia police arrested Javier Contreras-Lopez, 24, of Elgin around 9:01 p.m. May 3 at the intersection of South Kirk Road and Chillem Drive on charges of no valid driver’s license. He also was issued a warning notice for speeding. Contreras-Lopez posted $150 bond nad has a court date of June 11.
