Thefts in Batavia: Thefts at Kohl's, Funway, Batavia Skate Park and Rotolo Middle School

Here's a roundup of thefts reported in the Batavia police blotter between May 31 and June 9, 2013.

Retail Theft—A complainant at Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road, told police that two subjects existed the fitting room without the items they brought into the fitting room, according to a report filed at 6:21 p.m. June 1. The employee approached the subjects in the parking lot, and they fled in a silver Honda Civic, according to reports.

Theft Under $500—Someone took two tables, two shelving units and planters from a residence or business in the 0-99 block of North River Street, according to a report filed around 2:11 a.m. June 9. The items had a total estimated value of less than $100.

Theft Under $500—A UPS package was left at the front door of a building in the 100 block of South Batavia Avenue, according to a report filed around 1 p.m. June 7. When the resident returned home, the package was gone. She filed a claim with UPS for the loss, which was estimated at $300. 

Theft Over $500—A theft of more than $500 was made at Funway, 1335 South River Street, according to an incomplete report filed June 8.

Theft Under $500—A theft under $500 was reported at the Batavia Skate Park, 411 S. River St. No further information was available at the time of the report.

Theft Under $500—Someone took a bicycle from Rotolo Middle School, 1501 S. Radant Road, according to a report filed around 4:01 p.m. June 3. The bicycle had a value of $125.

Theft Under $500—Someone took an unsecured bicycle valued at around $400 from Rotolo Middle School, 1501 S. Raddant Road on May 31, according to a report filed at 3:10 p.m. June 2.
