Theft Reports: Someone Steals 'Services' by Filling Up Radio Shack Dumpster With Cut-Up Carpet

Batavia Blotter: Other thefts include a complaint at Kohl's, an $800 cellphone taken during a garage sale and texting discovered from a stolen phone.

Here's a roundup of theft reports from the Batavia Police Department files from April 29 to May 5. 2013. 

Retail Theft—A retail theft was reported at Kohl’s Department Store, 251 N. Randall Road around 6:26 p.m. May 5, reports said. No further information was available at the time of the report.

Theft Under $500—A complainant told police that a suspected offender has been texting with a cell phone he stole from the victim. The victim told police that he/she has received texts from the suspect, but the suspect denies taking the cellphone.

Theft of Labor/Services—An employee of Radio Shack, 21 N. Randall Road, told police someone had filled up their Dumpster with cut up carpeting. The report was filed at 11:50 a.m. May 4. 

Theft—Someone took a garbage can from the front of a residence in the 700 block of Wind Energy Pass, according to a report filed around 12:40 p.m. May 4. The 50-gallon can was rented from Veolia Environmental at a cost of $50.

Theft—Someone took a cellphone valued at $800 during a garage sale in the 400 block of Appleton Drive, according to a report filed around 5:13 p.m. May 4.
