Editor's note: This post was updated for the second time at about 11:50 a.m. May 2 with more information about the package found. The Kane County Judicial Center remains open.
A package that was originally tagged as suspicious Thursday morning only contained consumer electronics, the Kane County Sheriff's Office said.
The package was found in the parking lot of the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W755 Route 38. The County Bomb Squad opened the box and discovered the following items:
- One Playstation video game
- One workout DVD
- One calculator
The Sheriff’s Office investigated the suspicious package Wednesday morning.
The courthouse remained open for normal business on Wednesday. The entrance off Peck Road, which was closed during the start of the situation, was reopened.
At one point, police also closed off the Center's west parking lot.
