Geneva police arrested Zachary Choate, 19, of St. Charles on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, and Braydon Weeden, 19, of St. Charles on charges of unlawful use or possession of weapons or ammunition by a convicted felon and speeding around 2:47 a.m. Sept. 16 in the 0-100 block o East State Street, reports said.
According to a complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Weeden knowingly possessed a knife, commonly referred to as a switchblade knife, which has a blade that opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button in the handle of the knife.
According to police records Weeden was pleaded guilty on July 17 of possession of more than 2.5 grams of cannabis, for which he paid a fine and was on supervision.
Choate had “a pipe, an item of drug paraphernalia, with the intent to use that pipe in inhaling cannabis into his body,” according to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court.
Both men have a court date of Oct. 15 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S.
