A 58-year-old Hampshire man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-car rollover crash on Thursday in the same town, police said.

Thomas E. Kopitka was driving a 1989 white Ford Mustang that left northbound Walker Road about a half-mile north of Route 72. Kane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash at 8:53 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release.

The Mustang left the roadway on the west side and struck a concrete encasement before overturning and coming to rest in a field. Kopitka was the only person in the vehicle.
